In 2008, after 10+ years in radio, Joey traded in the microphone for the diaper bag. While the rest of the world was hit with a financial crisis, Joey struggled with her own personal crises: postpartum depression. Her experience nearly 15 years ago changed the trajectory of her career and Joey made a career out of motherhood. As a maternal mental health advocate, she started RealityMoms, a movement of motherhood across the U.S. and Canada sharing the good, the bad and the funny parts of parenting. She wanted to pull back the curtain on modern motherhood, normalizing the realities of parenting today.
Joey has worked in Chicago, Philly, St. Louis and other radio markets plus hosted Better Philly on WPHL in Philadelphia. And, along with Reality Moms, Joey has been featured on Good Morning America, Dr. Phil, Anderson Cooper, Katie Couric, Dr. Oz, Redbook, The Today Show, The Talk, Fox and Friends and many other programming and publications, including The Newlywed Game!
When not in front of the camera or behind a mic, hiding in the bathroom surfing TikTok, at the sports complex or a deserted island, Joey is obsessed with her swear word adult coloring books.
She lives in Mill Valley, raising two baseball obsessed boys named Hudson and Boston, a dog named GiGi, and married to Matt, an overly obsessed Bay Area sports fan. (Go Tiburon Little League, The Warriors & Tam High!)
