Steven's love for sports started the way many others his age started: watching Barry Bonds break the homerun record. This historic time in the sport was also brought with rivalries; he and his brother became Giants fans, while his parents, who moved to the South Bay from England in the 80s, were A's fans. While there is mutual love for teams and organizations in other sports, baseball has always been a touchy subject in the Langford household.
Receiving his degree in Media Arts from CSU Chico, Steven applied for an internship at our Audacy sister station, 95.7 The Game after hosting a local college radio show, and eventually received a regular position once he graduated. He had a number of duties during the seven years working there, and made his way up to becoming a host. While there were many cherished memories with 95.7, he is excited for this new chapter with KCBS as a Sports Reporter.
Outside of sports, Steven enjoys spending his time cooking new recipes, golfing, attending concerts, going to the movies, and traveling, specifically to visit family in England. He has a vast collection of music records, his favorite being David Bowie's "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust." He also enjoys reading, but struggles to finish his books.
