It just isn't Christmas in the Bay Area without a box of See's Candies. Some prefer the nuts & chews, while others salivate over the peanut brittle or the lollipops.
And this year, the holiday season is a little bit sweeter than most, as the beloved candy company celebrates its 100-year anniversary.

To celebrate, the company has been selling limited-offer sweets every month, from the Holiday Bordeaux for December to the Milk Raspberry Heart Truffle for February.
In November, the month See's was founded in, customers were encouraged to vote on their top favorite See's sweet, which turned out to be their Coffee Scotchmallow, available in both milk and dark chocolate.
"Launching a new Limited-Time Sweet each month was a first for See’s and the results were fantastic. It was so much fun to watch customers, longtime and new, excited to get a taste of each new delight," wrote See's CEO Pat Egan in a letter to customers sent on Tuesday. "Speaking of which, our new Holiday Bordeaux™ was so popular that we are unfortunately sold out. That is a good sign that we will be bringing it back next year, as we will with many of the pieces we’ve introduced in 2021."
See's first opened up shop in Los Angeles in 1921. The candies quickly became a beloved touchstone in California, renowned around the world.
As this year wraps up, See's expressed appreciation for its customers. "Without you, and your loyalty to the brand, this year could have turned out very differently. So, as we finish the year strong, still making the best candy on the planet—I speak for all of Team See’s when I say we couldn’t be more appreciative," said Egan.
