2 women hospitalized in Mission District shooting

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – San Francisco police are investigating a shooting in the Mission District that sent two women to the hospital.

Shortly before 7 p.m. Monday night, two women were shot in the 3300 block of 23rd Street near Valencia.

The victims, ages 29 and 30, were taken to a local hospital, one with life-threatening injuries, police said.

It is not known if the women were targeted or if this was a random shooting. Their identities have not yet been released.

Investigators said there were multiple suspects in the shooting who fled in two white sedans and remain at large.
