There are still more questions than answers following a mass shooting in Richmond late Sunday, where three people were killed and several others injured in a hail of bullets.

The crime scene is at a home is in the 2100 block of Dunn Ave. in north Richmond.

There’s blood scattered all over the front yard; folding chairs are overturned everywhere and the sidewalk is covered in blood, where red footprints create a trail. The front driveway area is full of dozens of 12-pack beer cartons.

The shooting happened just before 11 p.m. on Sunday at a very large Father’s Day party. Richmond Police said shots rang out and several people were shot, as an estimated 80-100 people were in attendance at the party. Two victims died at the scene and a third succumbed to their injuries at a hospital.

Four others were shot and survived, police said.

A neighbor who lives five doors down told KCBS Radio he saw men coming up and going down the street all night. He said the street was blocked from all the vehicles that were double parked.

"It seemed like it was just a big party," he added.

More than one shooter is "likely" to be involved, though it’s not clear how many suspects are being sought at this time.

Investigators remain at the scene early Monday.
