4 thieves wielding hammers rob Antioch Walgreens

Four people robbed a Walgreens Saturday night in Antioch by smashing the cosmetics displays with hammers, according to authorities.

At just after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, officers arrived at the scene after receiving a report of the robbery in progress.

The four suspects, three Black men and one Black woman, reportedly entered the store on 3416 Deer Valley Road while wearing COVID-19 masks and hoodie sweatshirts.

They immediately ran towards the cosmetics section of the store and smashed open the locked plexiglass display cases with hammers. The suspects made off with around $2,400 worth of merchandise.

No one was injured in the incident. None of the suspects have been apprehended yet and the investigation is still ongoing.
