5 things to do in the Bay Area this weekend

#1: Live music returns to the amphitheater on top of Mt. Tamalpais.

It's branded Sound Summit and it's happening Saturday. This all-day event goes 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and sports a stellar lineup with Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real topping the bill. Also performing is the uber-talented Father John Misty and more. You must be fully vaxxed or have a negative COVID-19 test to attend Sound Summit.

#2: In San Jose, the Winchester Mystery House is launching a new "All Hallows Eve" tour happening now through Halloween.

This includes the Lost In The House tour – a theatrical paranormal adventure – plus entry to the Jack O' Lantern Trail in the Victorian gardens which is great for all ages. Tickets are available in advance only, so get yours now.

#3: In San Francisco a couple of street fairs are back, so buy your tickets online and let your freak flag fly at Sunday's How Weird Street Faire.

It returns to SOMA at 2nd and Howard St as a mix of peace, creativity and, of course, weirdness. So costume it up and dive into the music, art, marketplace and general creativity. How Weird Street Faire is Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

#4: Don't forget about the return of the free 2021 Autumn Moon Festival in San Francisco's Chinatown. This is a wonderful, colorful, cultural pedestrian bazaar along Grant St. from Broadway to California St. It runs 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

#5: We've got one more festival for you.

All the fun and feast of the Mountain View Art & Wine Festival takes place In the Caltrain lot on West Evelyn Ave. on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Check the website for the schedule of activities and participating vendors. Importantly, pre-sale tickets are sold out and a limited batch of walk-up tickets will be available to those attending.
