The Alameda County Sheriff's Office said Joshua Readye was last seen on Tuesday going south on Foothill Boulevard in Hayward at around 10 p.m. Officials said the teenager knows how to use public transit and could've been heading to see family members in Oakland or Pittsburg.
Readye had his cell phone on him, according to the sheriff's announcement on Thursday. Officials didn't say when someone last reached his phone.
When Readye was last seen, he was wearing a grey shirt with black pants and red shoes. Officials said he is 5-foot-7 and 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
The Alameda County Sheriff's Office didn't respond to KCBS Radio's emailed request for comment prior to publication on Thursday night. This story will be updated when we hear back.
Officials said people with information on Readye's whereabouts can call the Alameda County Sheriff's Office at (510) 667-7721, or reach out to their local law enforcement agency.
