San Francisco police are asking for the public’s help in a homicide case of a 16-year-old girl.
The incident happened on Friday at aout 6:45 p.m., when San Francisco police officers from the Bayview Station responded to Bertha Lane. They found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds – a 16-year-old girl and a 45-year-old woman.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital, but the teenager later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Officer Adam Lobsinger told KCBS Radio that police are working with little information and need assistance.
"One of our goals right now is getting the message out and seeking the public’s help," he said.
Lobsinger assured the public that information can come in many forms.
"We’re not limiting ourselves on what the public has available to us," he said. "Anything that anyone thinks may be helpful, provide it to us. You may not think a piece of evidence is important, but you give it to us and all of a sudden it really helps us in a lead."
Anyone with information is asked to call 415-575-4444.
