A vegetation fire that ignited Wednesday afternoon in Sonoma County is 100% contained as of Thursday morning, officials said.
The Fremont Fire, which started just before 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 22, burned 116 acres of grasslands on the Sonoma and Napa county border before it was controlled by CAL FIRE crews.
The blaze first erupted on Fremont Dr. and Napa Rd., a five minute drive from the unincorporated community of Shellville.
No homes were threatened by the blaze and evacuations were not called.
CAL FIRE is now investigating the cause of the fire.
