A driver was killed when their car went over a cliff in San Mateo County early Wednesday.
The incident happened north of Pescadero State Beach, authorities said.
The unidentified driver had to be extricated from the vehicle, which appeared to have landed right side up in photos provided by CAL FIRE.
It wasn’t immediately clear what time the incident took place. It's the second instance of a vehicle over a cliff in San Mateo County in the last two days.
Several agencies assisted in the response.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
