The buyer, identified as Whispering Pines LLC, purchased the 36,000 square feet of property at 831 Laurel Ave. near George Washington Park on March 8.
The sale preserves the historic homes and ensures they cannot be torn down. According to KFBW, the homes are a mix of studios and one and two bedroom residences.
"These are the perfect buyers for this property," Debby Beck, the Pacific Grove realtor who represented the buyer, told the station. "They have no intentions of subdividing it, which I think is very important to know, specifically for the historicity of Pacific Grove and maintaining it, as you know, the Whispering Pines of Pacific Grove."
The outlet reported that 14 of the 15 cottages were built in 1924 by Dr. Andrew Jackson Hart, owner of the famed and historic Hart Mansion on the Monterey Peninsula.
Beck said that this is the only residential block in the city which can be purchased in its entirety.
