It just got a little bit easier for Hawaii travelers to get a COVID-19 test.

To fly to sunny Hawaii without spending 10 days in quarantine, you need a negative coronavirus test result. But not all testing labs are accepted by the state - and that’s caused a lot of confusion.

With news healthcare provider CityHealth Urgent Care has partnered with Southwest Airlines to run drive-thru testing, all three airlines with service to Hawaii from San Jose International Airport are now up and running with on-site testing.

"It’s another step to help the passenger navigate more easily, because it can be complicated and the rules have changes a couple of times since we started doing this," CityHealth COO Cindy Hart said.

Meanwhile, federal officials are reportedly considering introducing testing requirements for more domestic flights.
