Redwood City Police arrested two underage suspects on Friday in connection with the shooting of a 19-year-old man.
On Aug. 26, police responded to the 1500 block of Hudson St. at around 7:30 a.m. where they found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. Officials reported that the suspect, who shot the victim in a carport of an apartment complex, fled the scene in a black Volkswagen Jetta.
Officers administered medical aid to the victim before he was treated at a local hospital. Even though his injuries were severe, he is expected to recover.
After conducting a search warrant at a home in Menlo Park, officers were able to identify two underage suspects who allegedly conspired to commit the crime based off of electronics, firearms and other evidence collected.
Police have not released the names of the suspects as they are juveniles.
