MOVIE: CYRANO
Peter Dinklage takes the lead role in this latest Hollywood stab at Cyrano de Bergerac and dazzles everyone with his ferocious wordplay and brilliant swordplay. However, he's convinced his appearance renders him unworthy of the affections of the luminous Roxanne, a devoted friend who's in love with someone else. Dinklage brings it all to this big role and the size of his nose is not the issue here. It's now playing in local theaters.
FOOD: JAMES BEARD NOMINATION
From pork ribs, beef ribs, pork shoulder and burnt ends going low and slow the West Coast way of BBQ according to Chef Matt Horn is in his all revealed soon to be released book "Horn Barbeque," the original west coast BBQ.
Chef Horn is smokin’ right now in all manner of ways. Horn was recently announced as a contender for a James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant at Horn Barbeque in Oakland. Go Chef!
OUTDOORS: ENTWINED FOREST
The magical, illuminated Entwined Forest ends its run in the Peacock Meadow in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park this weekend. Creator Charles Gadekin champions accessibility to art and engagement with artistic experiences throughout all of his work. The forest boasts two large trees standing at 15-20 feet tall, 10 new medium-sized trees ranging from 8-14 feet in height and 40 new "flower clusters" of varying sizes. It's a magical illuminated wonder for the whole family.

Enjoy the cuisine of Ukraine at this gem of a spot in Beldon Place in San Francisco. The dumplings with options of beef, chicken or lamb are explosions of soupy, meaty joy and worth the trip alone. They're open Thursday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
