A magnitude 3.4 earthquake struck just north of Cloverdale at around 12:54 p.m. on Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The agency tracked the earthquake's epicenter to about 9 miles north of Cloverdale, near the Mayacamas Mountains and above the Mendocino-Sonoma County line.

Residents in southern Mendocino County and northern Sonoma County felt most of the shaking, according to reports submitted to the agency's website. Some felt the earthquake as far south as Guerneville.

No injuries or damaged structures were reported.
