SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – Fire crews are battling a new brush fire in Brentwood happening in the exact same spot as one that scorched the area's dry grass on Thursday.

For more, stream KCBS Radio now.

The fire is on both sides of Vasco Road near Walnut Boulevard.

CAL FIRE Spokesperson Dwight Good told KCBS Radio that the fire, dubbed the "Walnut Fire," is estimated at 45 acres and is at 10% containment.

People in the area will notice heavy plumes of smoke.

There's a full closure of Marsh Creek Road from Vasco Road to Walnut Boulevard. No structures are threatened at this point, Good added.

Thursday's Marsh Fire was reported in the same area.

That fire is now fully contained after burning 200 acres.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
