A United Airlines flight took off from SFO around midnight on Sunday, leaving for Chicago. During the four hour flight, a woman holding a baby created a scene, disrupting other passengers and causing one flight attendant to require medical attention.
Videos posted to social media showed a woman with a small child standing in the aisle during the plane’s descent to Chicago. Flight attendants are seen asking the woman to take a seat, as the plane is preparing to land, but the woman refuses, pushing one attendant while yelling "I'll kill you. I'll f—ing kill you."
When the flight landed at around 6 a.m. at O’Hare International Airport, law enforcement took the woman into custody. United Airlines told KCBS Radio in a statement that the flight attendant was taken to a hospital.
"A disruptive customer on a flight from San Francisco to Chicago was removed by law enforcement upon landing on Sunday, and one member of the flight attendant crew was taken to a hospital for evaluation," United wrote. "We're grateful to our crew for handling this difficult situation with professionalism and for putting the safety of our team and our customers first."
It was not immediately clear if the passenger had been charged for the actions on the flight.
