An airline pilot making his descent into Mineta San Jose International Airport earlier this month showed off his disdain for the Bay Area in a hot mic incident recorded by air traffic control.
A Twitter user flagged the audio, which was publicly available here.
It has since been confirmed as legitimate.

The pilot clearly didn't care for the liberal-leaning politics of the region beginning by saying "F-k this place, g**d*** liberal f-ks." That was before he took aim at the traffic, which we can agree isn't great: "F-king weirdos, probably driving around in f-king Hyundais, f-king roads and s*** that go slow as f-k."
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident, noting the pilot's unprofessionalism and that it's prohibited to talk about things unrelated to safety when taxiing or flying below 10,000 feet.
