San Francisco Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who had her hair set on fire while on a Muni bus over the weekend.

Police believe both the victim and the suspect, along with two other persons of interest, boarded the #5 Fulton St. bus at McAllister St. and Laguna St. in San Francisco just before 2:25 p.m. on Sunday.

The bus driver told officers an unidentified suspect set the victim’s hair on fire before getting off the bus and fleeing the scene.

Other passengers helped the woman, who left before officers got there.

Her injuries from the incident, if any, weren’t clear.

Police describe the victim as a Black female between 50 and 60 years old with dark hair and eyeglasses.

The suspect is a Black male in his teens. He was last seen wearing a red long-sleeve top with a colored logo on the front, matching red pants and a black backpack, a news release said.

Anyone with information is asked to call 415-575-4444 or text TIP411.
