Authorities believe a body found Thursday in San Pablo Bay is that of a 17-year-old Richmond boy who went missing in February, named Antoine Whittley.
They are working with the Contra Costa County Coroner's Office to conduct a positive identification.
Whittley had gone to a friend’s house to do hallucinogenic drugs the night of February 10, according to police. He took a ride-share to go home, however the teen became paranoid due to the drugs, which caused him to exit the vehicle on the Richmond-San Rafael bridge. Whittley was not seen after that, prompting a search and investigation by Richmond officials.
There is no evidence of a crime having been committed, police said. The investigation remains ongoing as a missing juvenile.
