Video recorded by the nonprofit that hosted the event shows candidate Daniel Chung walking behind Rosen, then suddenly tripping. Rosen is seen apologizing about 30 seconds later.

Chung has alleged that Rosen tripped him in retaliation for his pointed criticism during the debate.

"This is about just, like, basic respect and civility, right?" Chung told KCBS Radio in an interview. "We're all professionals. We're all in a very heated campaign. There’s a lot at stake, and the public just expects people to have manners."

Rosen, who has served as the Santa Clara County District Attorney since 2011, has denied the claim.

A spokesperson told KCBS Radio that Rosen unintentionally bumped into Chung, alleging that Chung is trying to sensationalize the incident.

"So, whether it was intentional or unintentional, I think just basic norms of civility were violated," Chung added.
