The San Francisco Fire Department rescued some beloved family pets, hamsters, from a house fire on Saturday evening.

Officials tweeted that the SFFD responded to the first alarm blaze on Cabrillo Street at 6:52 p.m.

When they arrived, the family self-evacuated, but informed the firefighters that their hamsters were still inside the house, according to the SFFD.

Firefighters rescued the pets and had the fire contained by 7:11 p.m.

No one was injured in the blaze.

Officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
