San Francisco police are requesting the public's assistance in finding a vehicle suspected in a hit-and-run accident Monday evening.

Authorities said the incident happened at the corner of Beach St. and Columbus St. at 5 p.m., as a vehicle struck a pedestrian and failed to stop. The driver fled the scene. The pedestrian, an adult female, was later transported to a local hospital. The victim is now listed in non-life-threatening condition, police said on Tuesday.
