At around 12:30 a.m., Taco Bell customers were waiting in a drive-through lane in the 1800 block of Mendocino Ave. when an argument began between two drivers. The suspect, later identified as 27-year-old Brad James Adams of Santa Rosa, allegedly began threatening the victim with a handgun, officials reported.

As the suspect pulled out of the drive-through he allegedly shot multiple times at the victim, who was unarmed, then fled north in his 2005 white Ford F-150 pickup truck.

The victim was hospitalized with at least one bullet wound, causing serious injuries, but is expected to survive.

Police found Adams' pickup in a parking lot at 2300 Mendocino Ave. with a handgun inside. The truck was impounded for evidence processing.

An arrest warrant is out for Adams for attempted homicide. Authorities obtained a search warrant of his home in the 2100 block of Humboldt St., but came up empty handed.

Police are seeking the public's help to find the suspect. They warn that Adams should be considered armed and dangerous. A reward of $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund for information leading to his arrest. Anyone with information about Adams' location is asked to contact 707-528-5222.
