The Richmond Police Department is offering a $10,000 reward for information that helps find a missing teenager.

The young man was last seen on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge on February 10.

It’s a mother’s worst nightmare, and not one Tanetta Morgaine thought she’d experience: the disappearance of her son Antoine Whittley.

“My son is not one of those street kids because I kind of keep him in with me, you know, because I don’t want anything happening to my son,” she said. “This is something I did not want to happen.”

The 17-year old was last seen a little more than a week ago.

Police said he’d gone to a friend's house, where the pair had done some hallucinogenic drugs.

Whittley’s friend ordered a ride-share to take him home, but according to police, the teen had become paranoid and when the driver missed an exit and ended up on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, Whittley got out of the car and hasn’t been seen since.

Richmond police Sergeant Joe England said they don’t know if he ended up in the water.

“If he did, we have no idea on the bridge where he could have jumped off, so our search efforts are vastly large,” he added. “We’re searching from the Point Pinole area south to Angel Island.”

Police are asking anyone who may have information about Whittley to contact them.
