Officials are investigating a shooting that took place shortly after midnight on Thursday in Santa Clara.
Officers received a call about a possible shooting and responded to the 3700 block of Flora Vista Avenue. A victim that had been struck by gunfire was found at the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspect had already fled the scene, and crime scene investigators have been gathering evidence.
