Residents of South Lake Tahoe were jolted by a 4.1 magnitude earthquake Friday morning.
According to The United States Geological Survey, the earthquake's epicenter was approximately 4.9 miles southeast of Dollar Point (14.4 miles northwest of South Lake Tahoe) and struck at 8:25 a.m.
An 2.7 magnitude aftershock shook from the same epicenter about 20 minutes later at 8:46 a.m.
No injuries or damage have been reported as of Friday morning.
