In the early days of the pandemic, Stephen and Ayesha Curry pledged to help children in Oakland who would go hungry without their daily meals at school.
The couple's Eat.Learn.Play Foundation quickly donated more than 2 million meals by last summer. A little over a year since they began donating meals, that number has eclipsed 16 million.

"We are excited about the work we're doing, but it's hard to celebrate because it means the need is so great," Steph Curry said. "That's the dichotomy."
He invited others to pitch in through the Alameda County Food Bank.
