UPDATE: Stephen Curry has agreed to a four-year, $215 million contract extension with the Golden State Warriors, making him the first player in history to sign two $200 million-plus contracts, his agent, Jeff Austin of Octagon Basketball, told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Great news to start the week for Warriors fans.

"Golden State's Stephen Curry, I'm told, will soon be agreeing to a four-year, $215 million extension with the Warriors," New York Times NBA reporter Marc Stein wrote.

The Warriors and Curry discussed an extension before the start of the 2020-21 season and both sides made it known that there were no concerns an extension would be reached for the two-time MVP.

Curry finished third in MVP voting and led the league in scoring for the 2020-21 season. The second time winning the scoring title in his career.

The three-time NBA champ most recently signed a five-year, $201 million contract during the 2017 offseason after he came off a four-year, $44 million extension in 2012.
