On April 28, officers arrested Matthew Freudenblum and found stolen goods and a loaded ghost gun hidden in his car, police said.
In February, The Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers organization sent a tip to San Jose police about a suspect selling stolen goods online, officers said in a report. Detectives on the case confirmed the items were stolen from a car burglary and later identified Freudenblum as the suspect. He's currently on probation in Santa Clara County for car theft and credit card fraud, police said.
Investigators got a warrant to search two storage facilities linked to Freudenblum and found high-end medical equipment worth over a million dollars, two Go-Karts valued at nearly $50,000, multiple electronics, multiple sets of golf clubs, music equipment, seven ghost guns and one serialized handgun.
Police have been working alongside the Santa Clara County District Attorney's office and have charged him with multiple burglaries, thefts and weapon violations, officers said. San Jose police are trying to return the stolen merchandise to the victims.
Freudenblum is in custody with a bail set for a million dollars.
Police are investigating to see if this case is connected to similar cases.
