
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – A man was stabbed to death on Sunday near a BART station, according to a statement issued by BART Police.

At around 1:40 p.m., surveillance footage captured the stabbing on the street level of the 24th Street Mission BART station.
Two adult men were arguing near the elevator at above the station before one stabbed the other.
The victim walked down the stairs into the station before collapsing on the platform. Despite medical aid by BART personnel, the man succumbed to his injuries. He has not yet been identified.
The suspect quickly fled the scene. BART Police and the San Francisco Police Department, as well as other law enforcement agencies, are investigating the incident.
24th Street Station was closed for several hours as law enforcement handled the scene. MUNI provided Mutual Aid between 16th St., 24th St. and Glen Park stations on buses 14, 14R and 49, according to a tweet Sunday afternoon from BART.
The station was reopened just after 6 p.m.
