For more, stream KCBS Radio now.

Witnesses to her final moments would change their stories and those close to Jane would fall under suspicion, first by the police, then by the media.

In the chaos, it becomes clear that one person had the means and the motive to take Jane's life. But before they can be properly investigated, they make a powerful ally in David Starr Jordan, Stanford's president at the time.

While more than a hundred years later, many agree that this culprit is responsible for Jane's death, not everyone is as convinced the murder needs to be solved.

In this latest episode, we meet one of Jane's most closely related descendants, and learn about what he's doing to keep the Stanford Legacy intact.

In doing so, he's become more focused on protecting Jane's story and history than he is on solving her murder.

And as Jane's story comes to a close, it seems like an answer to this mystery might just out of reach.
