The incident happened at about 10 a.m. at a PG&E training facility at 7205 National Drive between Greenville Road and S. Vasco Road in Livermore. Indications are the chopper went up and then came straight down.
Officials with the Livermore Fire Department told KCBS Radio that one person was severely injured but those injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The other injury is minor. The victims were taken to a nearby hospital.
The Livermore facility is outfitted with multiple tall poles, not unlike power poles, which provide the chopper operators an opportunity to safely practice taking off and landing. There is no word yet what caused the crash.
KCBS Radio has reached out to PG&E for comment but has not yet heard back.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
