Two quakes rattle northern Sonoma County

Two small earthquakes struck the same area in northern Sonoma County in a 13-second span late Monday night.

The first earthquake was 2.8 magnitude at 11:07 p.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The second was measured at 2.5 magnitude.

Both were centered about 10 miles east of Cloverdale in the Mayacamas Mountains, some 30 miles north of Santa Rosa.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
