Fire crews responded Sunday afternoon to a fire at Big Basin Redwoods State Park, in an area that burned during last year's CZU Lightning Complex fires.
The blaze, dubbed the Basin Fire, was reported around 12:11 p.m. near the Hihn Hammond Truck Trail.
CAL FIRE crews were able to stop forward progress of the fire by 3:20 p.m. and the fire was fully contained by Sunday evening at about 6.7 acres.
No structures were threatened.
Multiple engines and crews were dispatched and made ground access to the fire, with water drop assistance from a CAL FIRE helicopter.
