It's back and as beautiful as ever.

Firefall season returns to Yosemite National Park as Horsetail Fall will be flowing on the eastern edge of El Capitan beginning February 13 and lasting until February 25. Visitors can catch the annual event from mid-to-late February at sunset when the orange glow of the water gives off the appearance of lava flowing from the mountain.

The recent wet weather should help ensure that the annual natural event will happen, as plenty of snow is accumulating.

The park, however, is closed and will remain shuttered until at least Monday.

A strong wind event knocked down hundreds of trees at Yosemite and caused widespread damage, followed by several inches of snow over the last few days.

There will be no permits or reservations needed to see the waterfall this year, but public health guidelines mean daily crowd restrictions from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. each day. For more information, click here.
