The current supply chain issues have now gone too far.
USA Today is reporting that currently supply chain issues are now threatening that a shortage of chicken tenders is on the horizon!
Chicken tenders require more processing and packaging to sell, making them harder to find and more costly. Many restaurants have even stopped advertising their tenders or have removed them from their menus completely, including McDonald's and KFC.
Not all experts agree that a shortage exists, however.
Tom Super, senior vice president of communications at the National Chicken Council, says, "There is no chicken tender shortage. Like almost all goods right now, supplies are somewhat tight, but I would say it falls short of any 'shortage.' Like almost anything right now, some products might take longer than usual to get to where they need to be, but in most cases they get there."
