There are many people whose greatest childhood memories happened on their school’s playground during recess. Apparently a bear in North Carolina just wanted its cub to have that same experience. An elementary school teacher recently spotted a bear and its cub playing on the school’s playground, and the video has many online feeling nostalgic.
As seen in the video that has since gone viral, a bear and its cub enjoy some time at the school’s playground; playing with the equipment and going down the slides. “I LOVE how the mama goes down the big slide and quickly runs to the smaller slide- only to BEAR HUG the little one as they make it to the bottom,” Betsie Stockslager Emry captioned the video. According to Fox News, the incident occurred outside Isaac Dickson Elementary School in North Carolina.
The teacher claims this is the first time she has seen the bears on the school’s property, but based on their familiarity with the playground, she believes it is not the first time they have been there. Luckily, no children were around at the time, though the school does have safety procedures in case they do show up when the kids are in school. The bear likely won’t become the class pet anytime soon.
