California Gov. Gavin Newsom attended a wedding ceremony at San Francisco City Hall on Saturday, 10 days after his last public appearance.

The governor's office confirmed to KCBS Radio in a statement on Monday night that Newsom and the First Partner, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, went to Ivy Getty's wedding ceremony on Saturday.

The Newsoms didn't attend the reception.

A source told KCBS Radio that the ceremony had vaccination and masking requirements.

Vogue first reported on Monday that Newsom was in the audience for Getty's wedding on Saturday. Getty is the granddaughter of Gordon, the San Francisco billionaire who has contributed to Newsom and other Democratic politicians – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reportedly officiated the wedding, while San Francisco Mayor London Breed attended it – and the great granddaughter of J. Paul, founder of the Getty Oil Company.

Newsom appeared to be in the background of a photo captured by wedding photographer Jose Villa, KCBS Radio's Doug Sovern observed on Twitter.

Newsom last appeared in public on Oct. 27, receiving a booster shot of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine in Alameda County after taking the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine in April. The governor, who beat back an attempted recall in September, received his dose about a week after federal officials cleared the way for mix-and-match boosters.

A small study presented to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention didn't identify any safety concerns with mixing and matching. Newsom’s office told the East Bay Times on Monday that none of Newsom's events were cancelled "as a result of his booster shot," amid unverified claims circulating on social media and elsewhere that the governor had an adverse reaction to his booster.

Two days after receiving his shot, Newsom cancelled a scheduled appearance at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Scotland. The First Partner said at the time the governor wouldn't attend due to "family obligations."

In a since-deleted tweet, Siebel Newsom on Sunday alluded to commitments and the governor's work schedule.

"It's funny how certain folks can't handle truth," she wrote. "When someone cancels something, maybe they're just in the office working; maybe in their free time they're at home with their family, at their kids' sports matches, or dining out with their wife. Please stop hating and get a life."

Press Secretary Daniel Lopez told KCBS Radio on Monday that Newsom "will have public events related to the economy and vaccines" later this week. Lopez said Newsom worked in the State Capitol last week.

Late Monday, Newsom's office announced the governor will speak at California Forward's economic summit on Tuesday.
