A woman has gone missing after hiking to the Upper Yosemite Falls overlook this week, according to Yosemite National Park officials.

The park said “Alice” Yu Xie is thought to have gone on the hike on Thursday or Friday morning and has not been seen since.

Xie is 41-years-old with short black hair, standing at less than 5 feet tall and weighing less than 100 pounds, according to Yosemite. No clothing description was provided, but officials said she was hiking with a small green backpack.

Xie, a Chinese national living in the U.S., traveled to the national park Thursday on the YARTS bus from Mariposa.

Yosemite officials are asking anyone who was hiking to the top of Yosemite Falls on either Thursday or Friday to call 209-372-0216 during business hours or 209-379-1992 after hours.
