ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — A golf ball used by Phil Mickelson that he used to shoot a 12-under-par 60 in a round of golf recently was invented in St. Louis.

"What we saw is that the three lines help you improve your aim," Dr. Bassi told Charlie Brennan. "There's a scientific basis of why it does that's based on what's called 'vernier acuity.' Our eyes are much more sensitive to alignment if we have these three lines we're using."
