ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The Saint Louis University Department of Athletics and KMOX announced Tuesday morning a new partnership to make the radio station the new home for SLU Billikens men’s and women’s basketball games.

Beginning with the 2020-21 athletic season, News Radio 1120 KMOX and RADIO.COM will air all SLU Billikens men’s basketball games and the weekly “Travis Ford Coaches Show.” We will also air a select number of women’s basketball marquee matchup games during the season.

"KMOX is a legendary voice in our community, and we are thrilled to engage in this partnership that will directly benefit our men's and women's basketball programs," SLU Director of Athletics Chris May said. "There is a deep connection to the Billikens and KMOX with the likes of Jack Buck, Harry Caray, Joe Garagiola and Bob Costas calling SLU games. I am confident that the new 'Voice of the Billikens' will provide first-class coverage for our fans and sponsors alike."

News Radio 1120 KMOX is a heritage, 50,000-watt clear signal station in the USA, assuring massive reach. RADIO.COM is the fastest growing digital audio platform in the United States.

According to Becky Domyan, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom St. Louis, this marks a new chapter in the company’s SLU history books. “We are thrilled to once again partner KMOX with St. Louis University to serve as the flagship of Billikens Basketball. We look forward to finding new ways to expand the SLU relationship across the Entercom St. Louis footprint to serve and grow the fan base.”

In the event a Saint Louis Billikens men’s basketball game day broadcast conflicts with the MLB’s St. Louis Cardinals or NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs, the Billikens will air live on Entercom sister station 97.1 FM Talk (KFTK-FM), a 100,000-watt station in St. Louis. All broadcasts also will air live on RADIO.COM.
