ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Saint Louis University basketball coach Travis Ford doesn't know when his team will play again as some players are recovering from COVID-19.

"I know we aren’t playing tomorrow, and we’re not playing anytime soon because our guys can barely get through an individual workout right now," Ford told Bob Ramsey on his coach's show on KMOX.

SLU hasn't played a game since Dec. 23 due to player and coach quarantines, and five games have been postponed as of Monday.

"It’s such uncharted territory. We’re trying to look to the future to figure things out, but we have to react to how our players are feeling because that’s the thing I want the most -- to make sure they are OK," Ford said.

Coach Ford said it's tough for him to know how hard to push players in practice because they have to get back in shape but he doesn’t want it to take too long for them to recover.

The SLU Billikens Coach's Show airs each Monday from 6-7pm on KMOX and the Radio.com app.
