The St. Louis Cardinals were named one of the "most hated" teams in Major League Baseball, according to betonline.ag. They used geotagged Twitter data in the last month, tracking tweets, hashtags, and direct keyword phrases about the most disliked MLB team in each state. Here's what they found:
No surprise that Missouri hates the Cubs most and Illinois hates the Cardinals most.
The Yankees, Dodgers and Astros topped the list, with St. Louis coming in 4th. New York and LA getting some hate is pretty common and people must still not be over the Houston sign-stealing scandal...
