ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - If the players allow it, there should be someone mic'd up on every team in every game in Major League Baseball this year. The commentary fans get to hear and the moments it creates are just too good to be missing. The latest comes from St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Jack Flaherty
The 25-year-old ace for St. Louis was wearing a microphone for ESPN's broadcast during Sunday night's loss to the San Diego Padres. After Tucupita Marcano hit a single in the bottom of the seventh inning, he tried to do something that many have tried and failed to do before him – steal a base off Yadier Molina.
The second Marcano took off, Flaherty called him out. And he was right:
"You're out. See ya bud, nice knowing ya. Yeah, he's still got it," Flaherty said.
Here are a couple more views of the throw by Molina:
In his 18th MLB season, Molina continues to prove why you don't run on Yadi.
