Barring any injuries, the St. Louis Cardinals vs Milwaukee Brewers game will be their 26th start of this season together. Molina, 39, and Wainwright, 40, are currently losing in the race for a playoff spot, but no doubt are beating the heck out of Father Time.

The only other duos in the 300 club are Mikey Lolich and Bill Freehan of the Detroit Tigers (324 starts between 1963-75), Warren Spahn and Del Crandall of the Boston and Milwaukee Braves (316 starts between 1949-63) and Red Faber and Ray Schalk of the Chicago White Sox (306 starts between 1914-26).

So can the Cardinals legends finish their careers in the No. 1 spot? Absolutely.

It would take one more age-defying year from both of them (and Wainwright re-signing 2022), but it's more than possible. Wainwright may get six more starts this season, including Friday, so if Molina is in there for all of them that'll put them in a tie for third.

If they both return and are healthy, they could take the crown with a 325th start together by August.

It's also worth noting, the 299 games together as of posting this article don't include Waino and Yadi's 14 postseason games together.
