ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Could Nolan Arenado win his first MVP award in his first season with the St. Louis Cardinals?

The latest odds from DraftKings Sportsbook says he's got a pretty good shot at it. In fact, he's tied for the sixth-best betting odds to take the award.

The Cardinals new third baseman has +1200 odds, and is behind only Mookie Betts, Juan Soto, Cody Bellinger, Ronald Acuna and Frenando Tatis Jr.

The 29-year-old finished inside the top eight in the NL MVP race in every season from 2015 – 2019. He was third in 2018.

His odds to win the award this year are tied with Freedie Freeman, Francisco Lindor and Christian Yelich.

Cardinals will also notice first baseman Paul Goldschimdt on the betting list, who has +3300 odds.

St. Louis' last MVP winner was Albert Pujols in 2009, 2008 and 2005.
