ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - With limited fan capacity at ballparks expected this season, you may have to pay a premium on the second-hand ticket market to see your favorite teams play in person.
St. Louis Cardinals ticket prices are higher than normal for Spring Training games in Jupiter, per current listings on StubHub. If you were lucky enough to get tickets to a game at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium through their box office, you could get a seat for $23.
But they're sold out for nearly every game, so tickets will cost you a lot higher now.
For the Cardinals' opening game on Sunday, the cheapest seat listed is $70 – and that's in the bleachers. And if you want to go to the March 15 game against the Nationals, it'll cost you at least $251.
There are only three games on the Spring Training schedule with tickets for under $40. Check out some other high-priced games (listed as of Feb. 24):
The Cardinals have not yet announced ticket information for regular season games. But there are six tickets listed for the Busch Stadium home opener starting at $497 each.
At least it's not as bad as the defending World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers, who have opening day bleacher tickets listed on the resale market range from $1,450 to $9,000.
