St. Louis (KMOX) -- Two members of the St. Louis County Council are demanding answers regarding the new mask mandate from County Executive and the County Health Director.

Chairwoman Rita Days tells KMOX she believes another mask mandate will be very hard to enforce among citizens.

"Parents are just nuts at this particular time. They just can't this (mask mandate) as happening again," Days said.

Meanwhile, Tim Fitch says he's annoyed that Sam Page coordinated with the City of St. Louis and made his order public without even telling members of the County Council.

"That's not unusual," Fitch said. "(Page) talks to everyone but the County Council about County business. The City knew what he planned to do in the County before any of elected officials in the County knew."

"That's just par for the course with Sam Page. We're used to that."

The mask mandate in the City of St. Louis and the County goes into effect on Monday and will remain for 30 days under a new law unless the County Council votes to stop it.
